Fall is in the air....
By Joe Klein- Irwin Agronomy Location

Driving through FSC country we see the crops are starting to reach physiological maturity and preparing themselves for harvest. We thank mother nature for the late summer rains. They will add many bushels to the crop in western Iowa.  Some fields will not be so lucky.  Many storms, hail and high winds also came with the rains.  Certain genetic families and their plant characteristics made them more susceptible to those winds than other genetic families.  these fields will need to have the crop conditions monitored closely as they may pose many challenges between now and the time they reach the scale at the elevator. Our Croplan Genetic Story once again, shows the importance of "Genetic Diversity".

Our FSC locations started the "Farmer Grower Tours" in August and will continue into September. the interest and attendance has been growing.  thank you for your support and interest. If you have not attended a tour, and wish to do so, please call your location and we will be happy to set up a time to get you to either an "Answer Plot" or local "Show Plot".
